Reckless Abandon

Turns out that if you decide to just enjoy yourself, and indulge in food and drink and be in the company of family, the world doesn't end. Or at least not right away. Thus, channeling what I presume was the prevailing attitude of my father in his 50s I packed up the car with two children and headed north.

My initiative was rewarded almost instantly with a private ferry ride across the St. Clair River.

And a FREE game of pool at the Oaks Retirement Village. Free tea too.

On to the Glasstown Brewery for lunch, where kids can review some recipes for dinner that don't require a grill.

Said recipe being implemented with Eva in the lead. The lasagna that was planned turned into a pot lasagna, since there also was no oven at this particular residence.

Thinking ahead we put together the 500 piece dog breed puzzle, finishing just before dinner.

Caption these next three photos as you wish.

We also continued the movement toward status as a lap dog household. Hazy seems to take to it a little more easily than Rubble.
