Easter

Not so fast, before Easter I need to commemorate Eva's dress for a party. Beautiful, but I wasn't ready for it.

It's part of a larger pattern, Eva growing into a young woman. Here she does her first parking with other cars around. Sadly she didn't have to navigate a car on either side, but it made it easier to capture the job.

In other homefront news, Rubble has a less-cute twin in the neighborhood, making for a straight up puggle standoff when they meet.

On to Easter. Lots of driving in three days. Which means lots of dogs on or about laps.

And in one case, a puggle using a foot as a headrest.

The star of the Easter Sunday show was the backyard. Lots of play, starting with Rubble.

Those dog toys didn't stand a chance.

Even Hazy had some playtime, although he was more mission-driven, escaping from the yard twice to explore the great state of Missouri.

But mainly Hazy was a lazy boy, preferring to sit. On or about laps.

He was also a fan of the retaining wall at the back of the yard. A great place to get some time out of the sun.

The play wasn't just for pups. Kids, and at least one adult, felt the need to play.

Levi was more sedentary, rehearsing for his role as backyard party dad.

Through the whole trip, Rubble would find ways to get himself into the sun.

On the way home the van turned 171,717. Just East of Louisville. I wonder if this will be the last road trip with the whole family in the van. It just might be, but if it is I feel like I appreciated every last second.
