The Other Year End. And Year Start.

The month of December ramped up sharply into the second half. Several days in NYC kind of ramp up.

Arriving into town we immediately head north from the hotel into Times Square.

Oh yeah, we're gonna go up this thing in a couple days.

The view from the ground. Literally, laying on the ground. Matic arrived and now we are four, heading along the high line.

Up and at them in the morning, turns out the ideal breakfast for this boy is a double quarter pounder with cheese. It doesn't even need to be on 7th Avenue.

The need for energy is real. Those who counts step claim we did about 22K one day, and well over 10K on others. Lots of walking around. All the way up to the Apple Store.

In front of the Bryant Park NYC Library. We couldn't go into the Rose Reading Room, blocked off only for research. I didn't we could come up with a story that included four of us including two kids. Still, the outside is nice.

Noodles at tbe best wonton in the city, down in Chinatown. For those who want to go back, it's HK Wonton VIllage, 79 Mulberry Street. As we approach Chinatown, Eva says "everyone is my size!"

That's one giant tree.

Rode the subway, but didn't catch any trains from Grand Central. Just stopping by.

Standing in less glamorous surroundings.

Yeah, we went up the tower. We as in all of us.

Turns out there is an aircraft carrier parked on the west side of Manhattan. We went to it. And there's a submarine and a space shuttle!

When you are in Manhattan and you have gobs on money to burn, you go to a Broadway show.

And that was just the four days. We got a chance to relax and have, you know, Christmas. For a couple days before, though, we went out. And out. And out. Drove some go-carts and threw some axes.

And played some pool. This one is called "The Hustler."

Christmas morning came. We opened presents and took our usual pic.

Looking back 8 years ago on Christmas morning. Alexis no longer has to bend down to get into the pic, so that's good.

Then those Peloza kids sent to Florida, so those Peloza parents went to New Orleans. What do you do in New Orleans? Drink.

Matic and I went on the radio to do a Slovenian 80s/90s alternative edition of the show.

And finally to Canada to visit all those other Pelozas.

Finally, one last dinner at Sage Rabbit and the holiday season, one week into January, was officially over. Chef's kiss.
