Girly Post

I didn't fully appreciate it, but after loading the pictures of the latest batch of happenings, it strikes me that there is a heavy does of gal in this one. Maybe because Levi has spent every day riding his bike around with his small group of friends. And I'm left now in the heart of Spring as it turns into an early summer to just sit here and write it all down.

First, the "school year" came to an unceremonious close. Last few days didn't even have any works. It's amazing how they can replicate the live school experience! Eva is moving on from elementary school with some big distinctions. Better than yet another stellar report card is her receiving the vote from her class for the kindest student award.

Eva graduates virtually.

Levi, after getting several low 90 B's finally cracked the all A code for the last quarter. Both kids, across a total of 44 individual letter grades for classes, I think received 38 A's and 6 B's. And half the B's were scores of 90 or higher, with others ranging in the upper 80s.

Ok, let's get back outside.

Happiness is having a willing model.

And having a wife and daughter that can do this. Follow the steps.

See what I mean about girls? Here's some social girltancing. Although you can see Cole there too.

Back inside to make dessert. Can't even remember which meal this was for. So many desserts. So much wine. Even with grilled cheese!

Ok, back outside. Hanging out together. One day during this cycle Eva and I watched some of European Vacation. Apart from every other similarity, during the scene in Paris where they are walking by Notre Dame and Audrey and Rusty are choking each other I asked if they were like her and Levi. She said, yup.

Moving to a different yard, we again get oh so close to a old-tyme evening where we sit out front and say "hello Joe, hello Mary!" to everyone passing on the street. Even if their names are Bob and Carol.

The dogs like to play this game where they see how far apart they can get from each other but still be leashed to the same person.

Quiz time. What has two thumbs and gets his in-laws and kids to paint the upstairs hallway? This guy!

OK, back outside. A kiss from a rose.

Anime hair. Don't know what anime is, but it looks like this.

One of the many firsts this year is Eva's first fall off of her bike. In typical form, her fall was apparently caused by her being distracted by what Levi was doing on his bike.

Right after this picture was taken Eva kicked the eavestrough of a house! What a strange word eavestrough is.

When it's hot the tendency is to stay inside, but some genius came up with the idea to throw water balloons in the backyard.

Finally, the big birthday arrived. We went to Midway for dinner. it was boring. Not a single interesting thing happened. We ate. Paid the check. Went home.

My queen.
