The end of the year came and went. The first few days of the new year came and, well, they stuck around depending on your definition of a few. Nevertheless, we kept having fun right through since the last post that it took me this long to get to all of it.
First pic is by the kids. I don't know exactly when or where it was taken, but they have an eye for beauty and snapped it.
Then the big day arrived! Like a million Christmas's if Jesus was real. Yup, that's right, the least day of the year. Spent it wearing funny hats.
Well, not exactly, but it did involve more skating with our new gear. This time as a foursome, and Alexis even made a short video!
Then off to lunch at my favorite place where we sat right in front of a TV and watched a bowl game. And drank. And ate fries. And more fries. With stuff on them.
Part of the fun was taking pictures of each other and using the photo edit function right there on the spot. Like photoshopping in real time, like an MC battle or something. Winner is below.
Of to the Great White North on an impromptu new year visit. In the tradition of lazy days I like to make it puzzle. And what a special puzzle this one was. Dogs were especially difficult. You know, that nasty stereotype that people say all huskies look the same...
Still, it was good to see the old hometown doing so well in the current economic expansion.
Upon leaving, a couple of action series pictures with nana.
Could have made it home pretty easily after skating, and the shortest experience ever at US Customs, but the hotel was prepaid and we hadn't been in a pool for some time. So off we went for a special mid-Ohio night!
And we're off and running in the new year.

A great night in Windsor and then off to the legit, Canadian, free, outdoor rink downtown. And a king of the hill game on the giant snow pile next to it. It's almost like keep subconsciously bringing up all the awesome things about Canada.
