Wedding

Could be the name of a hotel review of Tripadvisor. It wasn't, although I did write a couple from our experience on the Jersey shore where we attended a wedding this weekend.

We start by a trip back, around three years to the day, back at the pool. Our race finish line swapped sides, this time to the diving board. Unicorn was still the prized pool toy.

When near the ocean, one should always take the opportunity to have seafood. Here, Eva confirms her love for yet another shelled creature from the deep. Mussels!

What would overshadow tasty seafood? Why, plastic straw bracelets of course. Really wish they would stop giving out plastic straws, you could get the same jewelry with paper straws.

We then checked to make sure our life insurance policies were paid up and then went out to the pier to ride some rides. Scary coaster.

If it weren't for the number of tickets required I'd have loved to join the kids on the swings, definitely the coolest place to be on a 90+ degree day.

Finally, the big day arrived. Not having properly been on the beach yet, that's our first stop. Borrowed boogie boards were so much fun, even I went in the ocean for about 20 minutes to play.

But then again, my hair is so much shorter than others' and easily tamed later for the wedding. How insane is it that with all with every other quality she has, I get to be married to a woman who looks like this in a bikini?

Quick stop at the arcade (reminds me of the arcades in Grand Bend when I was their age) to play this weird baseball/pinball game. Big Inning.

After the ceremony Levi confirms his love for a different shelled creature.

And we figure since we took the time to pour ourselves into these clothes we should capture the family moment.

Eva wanted to take some pictures so we did a photo shoot with me and Levi. We staged this picture and did several takes to get the expressions and light just perfect. One of my favorite pictures of all time.

One of the best things about kids at a wedding is they get this weird opportunity to party with adults. So they mimic adults.

The next day brings a lazy aftteroon with beer and BBQ by the pool before a late flight home. And we're done traveling for....
