And sometimes being the right angle to the subjects pays off in the most interesting and unusual photographs.
Dinner in a familiar restaurant just down the road from the hotel. Lest I ever tire of the same places along I-75, these will be a very interesting collection of pictures to look back on when there is a decade worth of history to view from the eyes of a single hotel/restaurant combination.
And this time we added a workout sequence to the routine.
Moving from one tradition into another... a campout in the backyard. Again, this time with a bit of a change to the previous camping trips, an outside dance competition of sorts. It's amazing that the kids know the moonwalk, and still find it captivating. Here Levi does his version of "old man moonwalk" with the walking stick and he even knows to mimic holding his hat. Imagine how awesome it was when the first time you saw it was in real time, something like 1982. That, and the fact that London Calling was playing in Kroger today was, well... I don't know what, but it sure was something.
Later, before going to bed, Alexis joined the kids in the tent for some scary story time. I think Levi's was the best, for sheer detail and the ability to integrate parts of life elsewhere into the storytelling process. In this case, House Hunters. "There once was a family. They lived in a single family home..."
Eva then gorges on gals' hair time. She came up with a new style she called "loosey goosey," which basically is a very loose braid with the middle part of the hair that kind of falls out shortly after being braided. Life is good.
