The State weekend routine played out for the last time. This time with the added finery that come with comes with senior year. A poster on the school fence.
Pack the parking lot one last time with the sun that sets early and a chill in the fall air. And one last poster creation by Eva in the band hallway. This one appropriately follows the marching band life (so far).
And once again in Bowling Green for State we find ourselves in a cabin outside of town with a pup. You can see both grandma and Rubble were both a bit unsure at first, but then we all enjoyed the weekend.
Which, sadly, did not include an appearance in the finals late, oh so late, on Saturday night. So this morning performance was the last of one for high school marching band. Capturing me post-cheer and Levi playing up front for the first two parts of the show. The show run was the best of the year, which is always the highest objective you can set, and when it was over I promptly lowered my head and cried a little bit.
