Art, Y'all

In one day the kids mastered Photoshop and the medium of digital art.

First, Levi. Taekwondo Poster #3, by Levi Peloza. Fairly straightforward, merging one of his passions with the new medium.

Eva was much more eclectic, and worked through the software much more quickly, so she completed three pieces. First, Color. Her favorite, because of the bright colors but also the time it took to do the special effects.

Next, the one the teacher was keen to show at pick-up time. Eva's Landscape. I love the boat in the clouds, with the tree coming out of it. Where does this come from, not even Eva can explain it. It just flows.

Finally, my favorite, Time and It's Shadow. You know when the teacher, a local artist who has stuff hanging on walls, says you should nurture the talent in your 12 year old, you've got something. Like the boat with the tree, the random pop of color (Alexis term) with the flower can't be explained. It just is.
