We had another birthday. Levi graciously set sushi as the meal for his birthday, over the likely Puccini's. One thing about this place is the stimulation for mimicry.
And once a year, a kid gets 60 bucks thrown at them to blow in 22 minutes at Malibu Jacks. I timed it. 22 minutes. That's better than a casino, but still quite expensive. Especially for kids.
That Peloza dad finally played his first gig with another dad. Two dads is the working title. February 3, 2020.
Some fans were turned away at the door and had to try and go next door for doughnuts. Not sure if it was because the place was sold out, or that no one under 21 could get in.
Feels like a long time since an update, I don't remember everything. Lots of non-descript stuff, sitting around the house with the dogs.
Weird school stuff, though. A two day holiday so they could wipe down the school on accounta so many kids out sick. Turns out the Friday would've been a snow day anyway.
It got cold, and it might have been the first time we went skating when it was below freezing outside. Turns out it doesn't really make a difference inside the rink, still frozen.
We also got to see Levi's first competitive basketball game. It just a rec league, but judging by the geniuses sitting next to us in the seats you'd have thought it was a game at Rupp.
No matter, Levi's team won big time. 33 - 11. Here is Levi's bucket, or at least on its way up about a second before it went down.
Trying to get outside on a cold, cloudy Sunday in February. Naturally we went for a hike. Where? Why, to Natural Bridge, naturally.
Here's a comparison pics from a previous visit. Didn't get the exact same pic on the flimsy bridge today, but you get the point.
Nice thing about picking a day like today, the place was almost deserted. Spent about 10 minutes on top of the bridge without anyone else.
