The summer wound down. Sort of. Temperatures in the uppers 90s into late Fall. I wish those Chinese would finally stop with this Global Warming hoax. Oh, they're calling it Extreme Weather now.

Hoax or not, nothing a sprinkler in the backyard can't alleviate. Ooh, big word.

But with our new thermo-doo-hickey and air conditioning, it's always a cool 70 something inside.

Never one to give up without a fight, those Peloza parents escape the heat by traveling to a city near the Equator. All the way to Sao Paulo, just to see this tree.

Back in the northern hemisphere, just more of the same. Eating out, celebrating.

Including a birthday party with new bestie Sihong.

In one of the outings Eva sat in the light so I wouldn't need to stare into the sunset (on accounta my eye thing). Turns out it was a gift because that light was perfect for these pictures.

In Eva's school, I see how she agrees with me about her best physical feature.

Again tired of the heat we take extreme measures and head to Canada. And the chance to visit Nana and a new wine region. The north shore of Lake Erie, who knew?

Most of the time was spent hanging out on the front porch. What do those two in the back have to say. Who care?

As part of more celebrating out we found what might be the perfect kids' game.

Perhaps the best part that can't be captured in pictures is the drawing competition the kids had on the drive. It was a competition to see who could draw a unibrow to make the other laugh.
