Pre-Christmas Post

It's Christmas time in Hollis, Queen's. Mom's cooking chicken and collard greens. If I was still working at the Video Zone during the week before Christmas my guess is that I would hear those lyrics and that Christmas CD got another few plays. Always debated between that one versus the more traditional Bing Crosby stuff. Luckily, they were open late so we didn't have to choose!

But I digress, this is about the goings on leading up to Christmas in a different city. First, some shots of later Fall. Cole surveys the leaves waiting to be raking, basking in a perfect Fall day.

Levi gets a taste of his teenage future as personal slave for all the good stuff around the house, beginning with gutter cleaning.

As the weather takes a turn we spend more time inside. Lazing inside, both pups uncover the secrets of generating sustainable power through nuclear fusion. With their heads!

Levi rediscovers, after a thorough room cleaning, that he has about 5,000 pieces of Lego and a fantastic imagination.

And leaves his mark on other kids' toys when we go to holiday parties.

Warming by the fire, the gals pose for their annual Christmas photo. They are so in love.

Obligatory band concert shot. Felt like the one from the TKD tournament earlier this year, sort of a Stand By Me feel.

Although we got a late start on the tree this year that didn't stop us from receiving a present a little early this year. She couldn't quite fit under the tree, but Santa did his best to get her as close as possible. Mental image: Calli sitting on Santa's lap flying through the air because she freaks out from the sleigh ride.
