Wild Thing

Levi and I wing on down to spend the weekend with Eva like the jet setters we are. Yeah, we got bumped up to first class on the flight leaving Tallahassee, whatever. It's not a big deal, not the first time, won't be the last. Anyway, Levi's at the point now where he brings some homework with him on weekend trips, and the spelling on his heart shows why he needs to keep it up. But to be fair, I'm just impressed that he remembered the country of Croasha, even if he can't spell it (yet).

Not sure what was going on, besides maybe a Monday night FSU game, but the car rental counter was a mess. I did the guy a 'favor' and took this vehicle instead of the Ford Focus we should have received. Problem is, we had a Wild Adventure planned as part of the weekend and this thing isn't the cheapest to fill up.

Check this one out. As is the norm, I took another picture of Eva at the height marker for the bumper car ride. Instead of the normal flashback I combined them into one, going from October 2014 ont he left, to October 2015, to April 2018 and finally to September 2018. Even with the slouch in her old age, Eva will ride the bumper cars on her next visit to the park.

Two rides on Swamp Thing, Eva seen here waving just over the fence in the screen grab from the video.

So hot, we go to the water park right afterward. One lap around the lazy river, and one ride down the slide as a group, and that's it. They call it on accounta the thunderstorms that are closing in. Do we leave, do we stay? Hey, like Eva's new suit?

Turns out the right answer is to leave. So the kids get 2 Swamp Thing rides, we all go around the river once, down one water slide, and then done. Yup, that's worth about 120 bucks. But hey, when you ride up front in first class, what's money?

The day turns out to be the most wonderful lazy hotel day, complete with a late evening swim in the warmest pool I've ever been in. A series of action shots as the both approach and retreat.

Sick of always being behind the lens, I jump in. And promptly get water up my nose. Crazy shots.

Eva still has all the right ballerina moves.

As a treat the next day, we try to get some nails from the salon. But they are closed, so we buy our own! And spend an hour in Publix putting them while Levi plays with Lego and I eat lunch to catch up to the McDonald's they had through Thomasville, then off to the turtle park (AJ Henry) and we're spent.
