I feel'd something today at the field day at school. That is to say I felt something. A great memory of field days, those great days in the last throes of the school year when everyone is ready to check out for the summer.
At my volunteer station, the three-legged race, Levi and his friend Charles went about 6 times. Here they are taking in the rules of the race, and planning their cadence in that sack. The sacks became pretty disgusting after the first few groups of kids went through, Eva and Alexis were there in spirit when one little girl took one look at the bag as I was helping her and her partner and said "disgusting!"
Even I got to go one time out and back with Levi. Pretty cool that Levi a picture with me and his friend.
By then the older kids were at the three-legged race station so I could shirk on my volunteer duties a bit and follow Levi to the sack race (the no-legged race), and that weird bouncy ball game.
What a great way to spend a morning. If only there were a grill and some hot dogs...
