Ohtuckessee

Three days, three states. A Kentucky sandwich. New Year's Day we wake up in Kentucky and then truck on up to Ohio for Nola's big day. Nola and Eva reacquaint quickly after half a year.

But Eva is less pleased when I ask her to wait to eat until everyone has been served a piece of cake. Now Milton...

Being below freezing, it made sense to go outside and ride around on the four wheeler. Levi worked the throttle for a brief period. I didn't think four wheelers could do wheelies.

Inside for the other four wheeler. And more wheelies.

And rides for the little ones.

You can take the girl out of silks class, but you can't take the silks class out of the girl.

Later in the evening, after everyone had a few drinks, we got down to nail polish business. Eva painted my nails multiple colors. Levi ate a donut.

Back to Kentucky the next day for a brief stop, and then off to Tennessee to hang out with Jackson and Mason. The crazy water park was a bit part of the attraction. The wave pool is some sinister invention designed to stress out parents of small kids.

Graduating to the other areas helped. Eva bounces, and Levi lays flat in 6 inches of water. Sure, drowning is still possible, but I can more easily hover around with my marguerita.

Here's the gang getting into trouble. The game of trouble, that is.

And, to top it all off, Alexis finally got to fly out of T terminal in Atlanta. So everyone wins.

*Apologies for not mentioning the parents of little ones: Ella, Mike, Heidi and Geoff. They were certainly part of the draw for the Oh-essee parts of the weekend.
