So It Ends

So the Thanksgiving week ends not the way it was scripted.

First, the day after Thanksgiving. Yet another day in the mid-upper 60s, and yet another trip to the park to spend some time outside. Eva can't get enough of the swings.

Levi can't get enough of the copter-drone, which we flew on the big open field. Here is a still frame from a video Levi took of his dad as the drone flew skyward.

Both kids can't get enough of the ducks in the pond. Fascinating.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving was supposed to be both the continuance of a tradition, and the beginning of a new one. First, the continuance. We again wrote letters to Santa. The false start tradition was supposed to be going out to choose the family Christmas tree. But it rained the entire day, so we had to find fun inside (the tree will come in the coming days). Well, inside except for a trip to Kroger. Which involved several trips up and down the escalators. Each time I noticed Eva did a pose on the security camera screen. Levi didn't want to be part of it (said he was embarrassed).

We decided to indulge Levi's love of gyoza. His previous record was 8.5 of them at the place in Tallahassee. I think he broke it tonight, passing 10. The photo below was the second round, after dinner, which is why he's got the Minecraft open.

Eva, although she loves the gyoza at the place, also loves the sushi. Or perhaps the art of the presentation of both. Here she serves her dad some sushi rolls, gyoza, and a side dish of... turkey??
