More Firsts

The latest in a long line of firsts continues. Levi got his stripe for form in tae kown do. One day he just started doing all the steps in the correct order. He even, most of the time, keeps his non-striking hand at his waist. Most importantly, while learning crescent kicks he figured out that if he sticks with something that is difficult, he can eventually master it. Moved to tears twice in two days, I can't figure out which one is better  - watching him jump into form and nail it, or he him diligently struggle with something new. It may be strange, but I think it's the latter. Form comes, form goes. But perseverance lasts a lifetime.

Eva blossomed across many fronts. The trampoline at the neighbors down the street helped her develop her flipping skills. She tried out silks for the first time with Alexis, and even got to attend her first ever yoga class. Growing up is hard work, take a rest big girl.
