Much of the past week was spent in the water, at swimming lessons. Showing off their goggles, Levi likes to wear his upside down. Eva has turned into a dolphin, swimming back and forth in the pool, mostly underwater now that she has her goggles.
After spending a couple hours in the pool, what else is there to do on a warm summer evening but swing sparklers around on the front porch. Is it possible to be overly cliche?
The weekend comes, where do you want to go kids? Salato Wildlife Center! In the quail egg exhibit, Eva seems to understand the point of the exhibit. That being a quail egg is very dangerous. Levi seems to have missed the point. I don't know if he'd make it in the wild.
Still more water, Levi runs the turtle obstacle course. Here he gains moisture as he runs to deposit his egg in the sand. Maybe there is hope for him after all.
Sunday couldn't have been more boring. Wake up, walk dogs, make tribute video for my wife, out for beer and nachos for lunch, buy steak, West 6th for beer and ticklefest, play guitar, grill steak, have cat makeup put on by Eva. Yawn.
Yes, we had fun this week. But by far and away the best thing about this week, and maybe the best thing about the entire summer? Levi made a box.
