Bubbles

We found out today that it is criminal to be in France for three days and not visit a winery. So we took care of that today. Right here in Brainard. You know, we want to be in compliance. Right here in Brainard.

Actually, not Brainard, but in Reims. The heart of the champagne region of France. They have the best champagne in the world here, don't you know. The best champagne is French champagne! Daddy!!!

The cellars at Taitinnger (pronounced in America as TATE-ing-grrrr) are amazing. Old chalk mines from centuries past make great cellars for bubbles.

They have so much they just pile the stuff up wherever they can find room.

A leisurely drive back through the French countryside, and we're back at the farmhouse. A night in tonight, grazing on cheese, bread, salami, and of course, champagne. A lesser person would remark about how little we actually did today.

Watching the third Shrek, after #2 last night (#1 is still TBD). A roaring fire. Some high end French popcorn. I would say that this is the happiest I've ever been, but that is getting kind of tired....
