Ballet and Some Other Stuff

The weekend officially started with a dress rehearsal for Eva's recital. I figured it was the perfect time to take the posed picture, since the church dance recital is always clogged with agents, entourages, etc.

As a way to relax, we jumped into the pool. For 2 minutes. A bit chilly.

We start the next day with a weirdest face ever competition. Levi won.

The big day arrived. And Eva was a shining star, to the fullest extent possible that one can truly dazzle in a lower division church ballet recital. She was pretty good. Really. She got flowers after the show and everything. Levi felt nothing says 'you performed brilliantly' like carnations.

Somewhere along the way Eva uncovered the makeup that I purchased as a backup for the show. Not only does she know what to do with it, she knows how to look when she is doing what she knows what to do with it.

Every aspiring makeup artist needs a model to practice with.

Levi was more just into the hairdressing, not so much the makeup.

During the afterparty, Levi and dad shared some lunch time, Mario time, and finished with some fun station time, including air hockey for the first time. Levi won.

After the big show, we all stopped by a playground to let off some of the residual tension. Well, Levi did. Eva and me just sat on the bench and talked about her dance career.

Sunday was a weird day. We played some Mario, including a revisit to 3-D World. Levi won. But then we got some lunch, played at the Tallahassee Museum, checked out Fun Station for another little bit so Eva could have some fun in that station, and ending up at a park. Eva is pleased with her progress on the monkey bars, and Levi explains his technique of grabbing the bars and such.
