Nana's Ninety

What else, eating and drinking. At one of our favorite oldey but goodey spots in town.

When the cat is away, the dog will play. And we don't even have a cat. But Calli still loves to get up on the sofa but only we're gone. Invite her up while you're sitting on it and you'd think you suggested she eat road salt. Actually, she probably would eat road salt. Or at least lick it. Come to think of it she does sometimes lick the sofa. Ergo, the sofa is road salt. Come home to this and she still denies it.

Head up to Canada and after all these years Alexis got to be on the road north of Toledo. Actually eat at a restaurant on the road, next to this place. Followed by a long-way drive down about 4 miles of some interesting neighborhood zoning policies. Like her, a mix of beauty and surprises.

The big day finally arrived, Nana's 90th. Levi joined in the cheers. It's always nice to that even at 90 she still always have a week's worth of salami and cheese to offer visitors, and a totally decent bottle of wine.

After convincing her there was a lukewarm dinner reservation for just a few of us she walked into a room with almost 30 of her extended, extended family. First the 2023 version followed by the original 2018 picture. Robin, displeased that the back row wasn't in the exact same poses, only begrudgingly took part...

Grandkids next. Dogs not pictured.

 Great grandkids. Dogs not pictured.

Everyone wanted to get in on the halo effect that Eva created in this photo.

Best with just my mom. She really is an angel.
