In the Spring/Summer of Fall

The weather just keeps hanging on, albeit now not getting too much (if it all) over 70 as a high. Still, everyone in the family is making the most of it. Let's start with the pups. Calli helps out by digging a drainage ditch in the backyard. Or she's concerned about the buried power line about 6 feet under this hole.

Cole: What hole?

The new school year brings new school concerts. The middle school events are notably larger, so while I have a video of Levi standing among a few dozen others, the postable content is really around the horsing around by these two.

Speaking of horsing around, nice weather and dirty snouts, Sunday was the glorious last gasp for the KY Native Cafe. After spending an hour and a half there we headed over to the Sheehan's and spent the entire day and evening outside.

We got to include the dogs for the second part of that, going into the later afternoon and evening. It had been a while since Calli was in the moving vehicle and I tried a new technique to calm her down. You know, that trick when you pretend to be worried so the other will try and console you. I was thinking if I freaked out her maternal instinct would kick in and she'd give me a lick and try to be calm to set an example. Nope.

We finish this post with academics. First, another concert at school. Good action shots with the trombone in the layout of the gym are virtually impossible to get. So the only shots available are while the band is cooling their jets.

Finally, fall also brings first quarter report cards. Not too shabby.
