What Am I Going To Do With A Box?

I recall seeing, as a child, a TV commercial for a pizza place in Detroit. BTW, TV is something that used to be what people called the thing you watched video on. Content would be "broadcast" and appear on a screen, around which a group of people would sit and watch. BTW, BTW is an acronym that people used to use, it means "by the way."

So about this commercial. The idea was that the other place was too expensive. So when the customer shows up to pick up his pizza (also, kids, people used to actually get out into the world and pick up their own food - known in Canada as "take out" or in the United States as "carry out," and as "take away" in England) he is shocked at the high price for only one pizza. Guy behind the counter says don't think of it as one pizza, think of it as one pizza and one box. Customer asks "what am I going to do with a box?" Employee responds, "ever hear or origami?" and proceeds to fold the box into something, a swan I believe.

Anyway, Levi and I made a box this weekend. Some very solid, very expensive oak and a flashy handle. It's not much, it's got more than a few bent nails, not exactly air tight. No Amish would ever claim it as his own. But we made this, together. It is the most beautiful box in the world.
