Gimme A Break

So images of Nell Carter going through my head, not the way I wanted to start off this entry. Better than Edna from the Fact of Life I suppose. What was I saying? Oh yes, about Spring Break. A very weird experience with the kids being so far apart with their breaks. Levi tended to his regular schedule, and despite the lack of a vacation feel to the week as a result, Eva still packed in a month's work of relaxing. In the evenings we were able to be nice and lazy, watching a couple of movies. Levi, at the end of the evening when we watched the Power Rangers movie, declared the day the best day of his life.

Eva being Eva, couldn't be held to just lounging during her break and took full advantage of personalized silks instruction.

I was surprised how quickly the kids connected when Levi wasn't in school, like two old friends. In this sequence they take part in a thumb war over dinner. First they discuss the rules. Then the fight. Then the "oh Levi" move by Eva, trying to soften up her opponent.

Again connecting to make the most of their break together, they provide what is perhaps a preview of the U.S. paired synchronized swim team in the 2024 Olympics. Is there such an event? There is now!

Want to see something cool? The hotel where they did their pool routine was the exact same pool we were in during the very first visit the kids made to Kentucky in 2014. A picture of the same kids in the same pool from almost three years ago shows some pretty amazing changes.

Eva, did you enjoy your break?
