I held off adding to this blog when I found out that the previous owners of this house had a large collie-mix dog, named Willow, that was elderly and suffered from seizures. She is now buried by the holly tree in the backyard. Willy and Willow, very similar breed, very similar issues.
But today, I cannot hold back. At our first experience at Keeneland, in the first race that ran after we arrived, horse #6 was a long shot. 30 to 1 longshot. His name? Wilhelmina. I placed a bet. Wouldn't you know it, that horse won the race.
Miss you Willy. Thank you for being my best friend for 14 years.
