Picking, Pool, and Piquante!

The day starts off simple enough, with Levi rising with me and the dogs. Why does it always happen on weekends but never on school days? He thinks I'm handsome in the mornings.

So I notice the blueberry bush as the side of the house in just about fully ripened, so there we are picking some blueberries. Half are gone, but the plan is for pancakes in the morning. Levi takes a pic as proof.

After picking, we picked a different kind of treat. Roly poly!!! Eva shows her new friend.

The afternoon was just so hot, so we took in a little pool action. Eva is much more into the pool now, although still prefers to hang around the edge or snuggle on the deck.

Levi, on the other hand, is all 6-year old boy.

It was as if the whole day was leading up to one single event. Taco night! After telling the kids I was making a taco salad on Wednesday, and they heard "tacos" this was bound to happen. Order of consumption. Eva at 1.75 tacos. Pretty good. She points to the evidence of taco #2. That's the .25 left on the plate.

Alexis at two tacos. Nice. Dad ate three tacos, very filling. Levi ate five.
