Georgia Aquarium

At long last another short trip, this time to the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. Good destination, not too far, kind of fun. Right upon entering we saw someone in scuba gear cleaning a tank window. Not sure if it was actually part of the display itself, but kind of neat to see.

Went through some of the exhibits while waiting for the dolphin show. Awesome stuff, a couple whale sharks, manta and sting rays, saw fish.  Very neat. The dolphin show itself was spectacular, although a bit theatrical for my tastes. Levi has sensitive hearing so to protect himself he spent much of the show with his hands above his head so his arms would block his ears. First time I ever saw dolphins doing their thing like, much more impressive than in videos.

After the dolphin show it was time to both settle down with a snack and do some running around after being cooped up for an hour. Eva waits patiently for her juice.

We really could only do about two hours at the aquarium, so back to the hotel we went. Because the weather was awful, the only option was to hang out in the hotel room (we did go for dinner to an Irish pub near the hotel). The day was fantastic as those unplanned days always seem to be. We invented the game Mechanical Dad, which is like mechanical bull only with a dad instead of a bull. Here Levi models his dad's shirt.
